SnapAV Episode® 30 Watts Per Channel Digital Amplifier

The Episode E-1230-A is an incredibly flexible answer to almost any whole-house audio job you can think of. Simply run a 2nd zone output from a home theater receiver into the E-1230-A and you have an instant single-source multi-room audio system. Have more complicated needs? No problem. The E-1230-A can handle 3 discrete inputs--any of which can be chosen for each of the 12 output channels.

Environmentally Friendly Stand-By Feature Is 75% More Efficient Than Most Brands

• Amplifiers when turned "ON" with no channels driven still consume energy. Most of this energy is wasted and turned into heat. Did you know, on average, an amplifier is consuming 30~60 watts of energy when no music is playing. Our engineering team added circuitry to the unit to shut down the unnecessary sections of the amplifier when no music is playing. In a stand-by state, the E-1230-A only consumes 11 watts. Now that's thinking about the environment and YOUR WALLET.

 Auto Sense For Individual Channels

• Only the channels you want on “will turn on”. When the E-1230-A receives an audio signal it will wake up only the needed channels. The old E-1230 design has the whole amplifier on or off.

Bi-Color Information Front Panel LEDs

• The E-1230-A front panel LEDs illuminates bi-colors to convey information about the amplifiers condition. Channel pairs that are operating will illuminate “blue”, channel pairs that are not operating will be off or clear, and channel pairs that are clipping or have short will illuminate “red”. This will be great for installing and trouble-shooting an installation.

Bridgeable Outputs

• Need more power for a larger room or outdoor area? Outputs can be bridged independently to achieve 90 Watts per bridged pair.

Multiple Turn-On Modes

• Different jobs call for different configurations. Whether you're using a low-voltage trigger system or prefer the amplifier to turn on when an audio signal is sensed, the choice is yours.  And with the included trigger output, there's no need to splice wires on the jobsite.
